A stop-motion animated film about farming commissioned by Chipotle Mexican Grill.
It shows the life of a farmer as he slowly turns his family farm into an industrial animal factory, before seeing the errors of his ways and opting for a more sustainable future.
Willie Nelson was commissioned to record a cover version of Coldplay's song, 'The Scientist', for the film's soundtrack. The song is released on iTunes, with proceeds going to a non-profit organisation Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, 'committed to creating a more sustainable and healthful food supply and to raising awareness concerning food issues.'

The Steve Jobs’ yacht - Venus has finally made its first official public apperance in Aalsmeer, Netherlands.
Fittingly titled ‘Venus,’ named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty, the yacht was designed in collaboration with famous French designer Philippe Starck. The sleek, contemporary exterior is constructed from a lightweight aluminum, and measures in at around 230 to 260 feet long. The Venus yacht took over 6 years to completely design and construct, and is even finished off with seven 27-inch iMacs located in the wheelhouse of the yacht

Prometheus, the long awaited science-fiction from Ridley Scott, has emerged as a spine-chilling reveal to his earlier Alien masterpiece. In Prometheus, a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of life on Earth. While this production is quoted out as a prequel to Alien, and it may well be that this production stands out as a beacon to visual effects artists as yet another level to aspire to. With story references to ‘where did we all come from’, far more than the original, the creation of yawning vistas, damned creepy aliens in full screen, and the most violent, ‘beautific and horrific’ scenes, make this particular piece of eye-candy well worth seeing on the big screen in 3D.
On set, Ridley Scott would constantly refer back to the original Alien film. The approaches the original crew took were very simple in a practical way, and he still shoots in that same way. The moment in that first film when the first face-hugger wraps itself around John Hurt’s face, was captured with very short cuts and bursts of shots. Captured in a way that makes the whole sequence seamless.
The CGSociety interviewed the VFX Supervisors of each major studio working on the movie, as well as the Overall VFX Supervisor Richard Stammers. The challenge was to visualise some of the most intense VFX seen on the screen. This immense job was taken by teams from MPC, Weta Digital, Fuel VFX, as well as fx3x, Prologue, Luma Pictures, Rising Sun Pictures, Hammerhead, Lola Pictures and others.

Welcome to the May issue of 2DArtist magazine! In this issue we continue inspiring you with excellent tutorial series and amazing you with stunning artwork. From manga characters to creating amazing animations, using paintings and live-action footage, there’s something for everyone!
There are so many great tutorials in this month’s magazine that it’s hard to know where to begin. I’ll start with the awesome cover image by Patipat Asavasena, who’s also the artist guiding us through our new manga series. In the second chapter, with help from Joan of Arc, he’ll be showing us the techniques character artists use to achieve the manga style.
In April’s magazine Jama Jurabaev explained how he developed his storyboards and concepts for the high quality matte painting backdrops he used for his Dreamscape video. This time around he gets to the exciting part, where he shares practical tips and shows us how he filmed the live footage, which he will composite into his amazing images in next month’s issue!
We also continue our droid series with Ignacio Bazan Lazcano creating probably my favorite type of droid, the bartender droid! He talks us through his concept and initial ideas, developing his chosen design, producing technical drawings and even shows us how he placed his droid into a supporting environment.
Moving on to our next series, Mythological Creatures, we are in the capable hands of Simon Dominic Brewer and Christopher Peters this month, as they tackle the mysterious Jiang Shi, otherwise known as a Chinese “hopping” vampire/zombie. We knew that this would be an interesting illustration as this creature leaps around, killing living things and sucking the life force out of them! Take a closer look to find out how each of our artists interpret the same brief and come up with their own unique versions of this charming creature, Simon in Painter and Christopher in Photoshop.
If that’s not enough for you, we also feature a Making Of by the mystical Jenny Healy, an interview with senior matte painter Luca Gabriele Rossetti and a sketchbook that gives an insight into the creative mind of concept artist, George Guo. And, of course, our brilliant gallery featuring work by Oleg Leshiy Shekhovtsov, Saeed Ramezani, Chaichan Artwichai and many more talented artists.

This is an img of a private condominium created for a commercial outdoor. We wanted to give the feeling that this condo is a good and safe place to live in. We hope that including a kid - running happily - gives a bit of that feeling.
